​Our On Board Courier (OBC) team is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join the team in a remote capacity. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise and contribute to the continued success of a leading global brand.

We will provide the successful candidate with training, as well as industry know-how.

The ideal candidate will have experience in all stages of the sales cycle. They should be confident in building new client relationships and maintaining existing ones. They should have evidence of strong skills and possess good negotiation skills.

Purpose of Role​​

  • To provide detailed market analysis to facilitate targeted and specific sales campaigns for the OBC product.
  • To liaise with operations and sales teams in all OBC offices and foster collaboration.
  • To target outreach to sectors as directed by the VP of Sales
  • To work as needed on various special business development, legal, and sales projects.
  • To maximize business opportunities by offering customers tailored-made solutions to meet clients’ requests within budgetary and operational restrictions, while making suitable profit for the Company.
  • To build strong productive relationships with clients to ensure business objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • To proactively identify opportunities to grow the business in new and existing markets to meet business objectives.
  • Use initiative to identify new potential areas for business development.
  • Keep up to date with competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
  • Work towards and in line with all agreed group sales and operations strategies.
  • Work towards agreed and measurable performance targets.
  • Partner with the local broker departments by providing them with all relevant information.
  • To continually develop knowledge of all business sectors.
  • Liaise with operations and corporate development departments to optimize sales growth for the group and streamline internal processes.
  • Market the company services to new prospective customers by telephone or E-mail to actively develop new business areas.
  • Visit potential, new, and existing customers to generate further business.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with both key clients and new business leads to maximize business opportunities and increase client loyalty in an industry where client retention is never guaranteed.
  • Promptly as defined by the Manager, record all pertinent customer prospect information and sales activity in the CRM system.
  • Remain updated on current operational capabilities, OBC procedures, competitor activities, and market trends.
