​We’re looking for an Management Accountant to join our team at Gatwick, UK, for a fixed-term contract of 14 months. You would be producing monthly accounts, supporting commercial teams, and leading the finance function. With a focus on P&L, balance sheet review, and commercial performance, you’ll be the go-to finance contact, driving process improvements and ensuring smooth financial operations.

Purpose of Role​

• To produce the management accounts for Chapman Freeborn UK, provide support to the commercial teams and provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager.Key Responsibilities​
• Produce the monthly accounts for both CF UK to include P&L and balance sheet review, with particular focus cost of sale accruals;
• Complete the monthly intercompany recs and submit to Group;
• Produce and present monthly commercial performance packs;
• Support commercial teams with tender processes, and performance analysis;
• Quarterly VAT returns for CF UK;
• Support the Finance Manager in the budget process;
• Produce cashflow reports as and when necessary;
• Provide cover for the transactional ledger work to include banking, payments and invoice entry;
• Provide guidance and leadership to the other members of the UK finance team;
• Produce year -end audit deliverables and be the main contract with the auditors for CF UK matters;
• To work in conjunction with commercial teams to improve internal reporting.

Requirements​

• Minimum 2 years in a similar role
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Team player, happy to help other team members and go the extra mile
• To be based in Gatwick, UK
• Desire to identify process improvement opportunities
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with commercial teams as you will be their primary finance contact
