This vacancy is for an Oil & Gas Director for European Region.

Purpose of Role

  •  To develop, in conjunction with the Global Industry O&G Director and Regional President’s requirements, strategies in the  O&G sector, as well as long and short terms objectives 
  • To work closely with the Europe country managers to align and coordinate operations and sales activities for the commercial benefit of the Company and to provide solutions where issues arise.
  • Working alongside Europe country managers to help train and develop broking staff with company standard operating procedures.
  • To assist the Group by delivering new clients and enhancing existing customer’s business in Europe linking with global teams, by also utilising the supporting teams in the Europe region.
  • To maximise business opportunities by offering tailored solutions to meet client requirements within budgetary and operational restrictions whilst making suitable profit for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and communicating the cargo strategies for the O&G sector (Europe, regional and local level) to achieve the targets, expand the customer base and maintain relationships with key accounts.
  • Implementing business objectives across the Group in line with the Executive Committee and Regional President’s requirements.
  • To monitor the monthly progress against the strategies set and/or budgets and report to the Global Director O&G any issues or concerns making appropriate recommendations for action where applicable.
  • To monitor the progress of the O&G cargo strategies against individual regional budgets and regularly report progress to the Global Director O&G.
  • To advise management and relevant broker teams on the agreed annual cargo strategies on a regular basis to ensure adherence and smooth operations.
  • Developing, in conjunction, with Regional President, regional resources for cargo teams working within the O&G sector
  • To work in correlation with the European President, Global O&G Director, Directors, O&G, cargo and all other relevant teams across the group (where applicable).
  • To work in conjunction with the yearly strategies laid out by the Executive Committee, Senior Management and Management Teams.
  • To actively build strong rapport with the country managers and Senior Management Team to ensure the overall Cargo strategy is implemented effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in strategic planning for the oil & gas sector, aligning with global and regional leadership requirements.
  • Successful track record in coordinating operations and sales to achieve commercial objectives, including team training.
  • Strong client acquisition and relationship-building skills within the oil & gas industry, with a global collaboration focus.
  • Proficiency in optimizing business opportunities while adhering to budgets and operational constraints, consistently exceeding KPIs.
  • Effective communicator and leader with a collaborative approach, skilled in mentoring and team development.
  • Marketing acumen, including representation at industry events and brand alignment.
  • Flexibility for additional duties and industry knowledge retention, including travel when necessary.
