Robben Island

Walk around the prison yard and down to the rocky shoreline. The view across the waters to Cape Town is as sobering as it is beautiful. V&A Waterfront
The V&A Waterfront is a destination in its own right, with 450 retail stores, two Aquariums and the Watershed (Cape Town’s premier arts and crafts shop). There are upscale hotels, boutiques and restaurants, food markets and museums to enjoy. The ferry to Robben Island leaves from here, as well as cruise boat tours. The V&A Waterfront is also home to 22 historical monuments and the first 4DX cinema in Africa. The new Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa) opens in September.
Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
Located 13km from the centre of Cape Town, on the slopes of the majestic Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch is an extraordinary experience. Walk through the fragrance and medicinal gardens with around 25,000 plant species. There’s a protea garden, a braille trail and treehouse walk. The fynbos is at its most spectacular between August and November.

The Flying Dutchman funicular travels on a railroad on Cape Point towards the upper lighthouse where you’ll enjoy spectacular views, especially at sunrise and sunset.
