Increased air charter demand for the Masters 2017

Chapman Freeborn’s VIP department in the U.S. has seen an increase in air charter requests for mid-range aircraft ahead of this year’s Masters Tournament.

Held every year in Augusta, Georgia, the Masters is the first of the four major US golfing competitions and is expected to draw fans from across the country.

Helen Hollis, Chapman Freeborn USA’s passenger charter manager, said:

“Chapman Freeborn has had a long history of flying fans to and from some of the largest events on the global sporting calendar, and the Masters is no exception.

Our team has already seen a strong demand for mid-size and heavy jets due to their range capabilities, high capacity configurations as well as the additional comfort provided by stand up cabins”

The Masters has long held the accolade of being one of the world’s most prestigious golfing events, with Horton Smith taking the winner’s title for the first time in the spring of 1934. Now in it’s 84th year, the tournament has played part in some of the world’s most memorable golfing moments – Tiger Woods taking the green jacket and the course record in 1997 at the age of 21 was one such event.

Chapman Freeborn’s broker departments will be watching the game, with the UK office surely backing home-grown defending champion, Danny Willet!
