Boeing B747 takes to the skies in Seattle Seahawks livery
Here’s a great story we came across this morning – Boeing showed their support for the Seattle Seahawks by tracing a giant number 12 over Eastern Washington. The Boeing B-747 freighter was painted in the livery of the Seahawks in advance of the team’s appearance in the Superbowl XLVII against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
The #12 flight pattern took the aircraft past renowned Seattle landmarks including the Space Needle and CenturyLink Field, home to the team itself. The #12 refers to the team’s 12th man, a name given to the Hawks’ loyal fans.
An overview of the path can be see below:
It’s not the first time that Boeing have used the 747 in such a way – a colossal ‘747’ was drawn across the United States during 747-8 certification flight testing.
Boeing is a sponsor of the Seahawks and has been a partner of the team for over a decade.
