Business travel firms get ready for GBTA Mexico 2014

Next week will see the start of the Global Business Travel Association Conference in Mexico – a key industry event that is attracting attention across the Americas and further afield.

Held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, March 19-21, the conference brings together some of the biggest names in travel and business – including speakers from companies such as Carlson Wagonlit, BCD Travel, MasterCard, PepsiCo, Deloitte and many more.

Chapman Freeborn’s air charter specialists will also be at GBTA Mexico 2014 to promote our range of services covering the Americas.

The event will give travel professionals the chance to address the key issues facing the industry today – as well as the discussing future business opportunities in Mexico.

Mexico is one of the world’s fastest growing travel destinations and tourism is an important source of wealth, employment and stability.  According to official statistics, the country has around 4,000,000 jobs related to tourism.

Mexico is a magnet for visitors due to its beautiful beaches and impressive resorts, combined with its rich culture and history. The country attracts a large number of business and leisure travellers from the US and Canada in particular – a trend that looks set to continue in future years.

In terms of air charter demand, Mexico is one the world’s fastest emerging markets – including rising requirements for large corporate groups travelling to meetings and incentive events.

Private jet demand is also soaring in Mexico and the market is seen as one of the brightest spots for future aircraft sales and charter demand. In terms of fleet growth, only buyers in the US, Brazil and Canada have purchased more private jets in the last five years.
