Cargo charters and OBC services in the spotlight at Breakbulk China 2013

This month Shanghai plays host to Breakbulk China 2013 – a leading trade show and conference addressing the needs of the traditional breakbulk and project cargo industry.

Held at the Shanghai International Exposition Center (March 14-15) it promises to attract ocean carriers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, ground transportation companies, ports, export packers, equipment companies and more.

Our China, Singapore, India, and UAE air cargo charter teams will also be present at the event, as well as our Hong Kong-based On Board Courier (OBC) division.

A growth in exports and imports of breakbulk and project cargo has placed China in the global spotlight in recent years and there has been increased demand for heavy-lift air cargo charters and time-critical deliveries.

The event will provide lively debate and panel discussions focussing on a variety of issues including the impact of China’s new leadership on various economic sectors such as power generation projects.

Further sessions will explore the challenges of planning for a project cargo move that may be two or three years away, and analysis of logistics issues that can easily run up transportation costs along the supply chain, including costs for moving delays, improper cargo packaging and cargo documentation.
