Chapman Freeborn assist stranded national handball team when Covid cases stop game

Recently Chapman Freeborn passenger team managed a group air charter to assist with returning a handball team back home due to the sudden cancellation of their game.

The national handball team landed in Eastern Europe a to play their European Championship match, the fixture had to be immediately cancelled due to a number of the opposition players testing positive for COVID-19.

The handball team contacted Chapman Freeborn to fix a flight back to their home country at the earliest availability, however by legislation the team had to wait for an official letter of cancellation from the tournament officials before they could proceed home.

Once the game was officially cancelled the Chapman Freeborn passenger broker team jumped into action and secured a Saab 340 positioned and ready for take-off. The broker team quickly progressed the national handball team through check-in, security checks, immigration, through to the departure gate and boarded the aircraft.

All checks were completed and the flight departed, a total of 30 minutes after receiving the official notice of cancellation!
