Chapman Freeborn wins international air cargo charter award for the third consecutive time
We’re delighted to report that Chapman Freeborn has been named International Air Charter Provider of the Year at the STAT Trade Times Awards for the third consecutive time.
The announcement was made at the Air Cargo India 2016 event, held last week in Mumbai. Nominated by freight forwarders and cargo airlines, this latest accolade highlights our expertise in delivering innovative air cargo charter solutions in India and worldwide.
At the same event, the founder of our company Chris Chapman was also recognised for his outstanding contribution to the air cargo industry over a 50 year period.
In a pre-recorded video message he said: “After over 50 years hanging around the aviation industry and most of that time on the cargo side I still miss it. Although I don’t miss the phone calls at 3am in the morning!”
In 2010 Chris was also the recipient of TIACA’s ‘Hall of Fame’ award. Read more about his career in aviation here.
Russi Batliwala, the chief executive officer of Chapman Freeborn, received the latest award on behalf of Chris and paid tribute to his charismatic character and achievements in the industry.
Shailendra Seth, country manager, and Vikas Chaturvedi, cargo project manager, were also in attendance in Mumbai to pick up the cargo charter provider award on behalf of our global offices.
