Chapman Freeborn wins Payload Asia cargo charter broker of the year award

We’re delighted to announce that Chapman Freeborn has been named Cargo Charter Broker of the Year 2014 by top industry title Payload Asia.

Selected by a panel of industry experts, the latest honour highlights our excellence in delivering air cargo charter solutions in Asia and worldwide.

The accolade was collected by Chapman Freeborn Singapore’s Anton Lomakin and Andrea Lim at a gala awards ceremony, held on October 29 at the Singapore Marina Mandarin Hotel.

Commenting after the announcement, CEO Russi Batliwala said: “We are delighted that we have again been awarded the title of charter broker of the year. It proves our global team’s efforts and focus to be the best in the industry – and not merely the largest – is working.”

The award marks another successful year for our offices in Asia which continue to go from strength to strength. In addition to our Singapore team, we have offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and New Delhi, as well as over 30 locations worldwide.

Alongside regular charter movements of heavy and outsize pieces and time-critical cargo, we recently strengthened our product offering with the addition of Intradco Cargo Services – a global animal transport specialist.

Recent movements include delivering 39 giraffes from Johannesburg to Bangkok on a B777F aircraft charter, and flying 37 horses from Brussels to Singapore on a Boeing 747-400F as part of the world-famous Cavalia tour.

Elsewhere, the Chapman Freeborn On Board Courier (OBC) team in Hong Kong continues to expand – providing specialist hand-carry services to assist industries such as automotive, energy and hi-tech manufacturing.
