Charter professionals to gather for BACA Excellence Awards

This week we’re heading to the Baltic Air Charter Association’s annual awards – an event which brings together industry professionals including charter brokers, airlines, business jet operators and handling agents.

The BACA Excellence Awards will be presented at the association’s Autumn Lunch at Guildhall in London on October 11th.

The companies shortlisted in the key categories have already been unveiled – including the Best Cargo Charter Airline which is sponsored by Chapman Freeborn. The nominees for this year’s top cargo accolade are Allied Aviation, Farnair and Volga-Dnepr Airlines.

Elsewhere, the nominees for Best Passenger Charter Airline are Eastern Airways, Monarch Airlines and Titan Airways.

Other BACA award categories include Best General Aviation Operator, Best Handling Agent and the Humanitarian Award.

BACA describes itself as the world’s largest and most prestigious network for air charter professionals. Set up as a successor to the Airbrokers’ Association which was founded in 1949, it represents the interests of commercial aviation companies particularly in the air charter industry.
