Take a private charter jet to explore Switzerland

This is the landlocked country where you never feel hemmed in. With dramatic mountain ranges, more than 7,000 lakes and rolling countryside, you can only be in Switzerland.

This truly international country, with more than a quarter of its inhabitants born outside Switzerland, also boasts two of the most fascinating cities in the world, Geneva and Zurich.

If you choose to book your chartered jet service for Switzerland, here’s a little taste of what you can expect.

Unlike so many international destinations the cold, winter months are some of the best times to visit the country. Snow fans will no doubt head to the luxury ski resorts of Chamonix, Zermatt or Klosters with nearby airports including Geneva, Zurich and Sion.

With luxury shopping, fabulous bars, and high-end restaurants the apres-ski is every bit as appealing as those powdery black runs.

And if you’re not staying at a luxury resort in the mountains, here are some other accommodation options to consider.

Head to the beautiful Baur Au Lac, a 5-star hotel offering luxury rooms since 1844. Book one of the luxurious 18 suites, with views across Lake Zurich and bespoke furniture designed exclusively for the hotel.

On site you’ll also find Restaurant Pavillon, awarded two Michelin stars and serving modern interpretations of classic haute cuisine.

If, instead, your private jet hire lands in Geneva, you’ll find the same high-end offerings and a lake to rival Zurich, with stunning views of the nearby Alps.

For an overnight stay, check into the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues, right on the waterfront. A stone’s throw from Geneva’s Old Town you’ll be enchanted by the Pierre-Yves Rochon designed rooms and suites and delighted to find a well-deserved spa treatment on the rooftop.

For dinner, head to the nearby Beau-Rivage Hotel and the amusingly-named Le Chat-Botté (Puss In Boots).

Serving polished French fare, this restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star and is set in Art Nouveau-styled surroundings.

When it comes to attractions to while away some hours outside of ski season, there’s the high-end shopping areas of Geneva and Zurich, yacht charters to be had on several of the larger lakes, and the famous bears of Berne – Switzerland’s capital city.

Even outside of the cold weather it’s also possible to visit a mountain glacier. Catch the aerial cableway up Mt Titlis, which is covered in snow all year round and even features an ice cave inside the glacier.

When you book a charter plane of course depends on whether you’re a snow or sun kind of tourist. Temperatures in the hottest months of July and August reach between 18° to 28°C (65° – 82°), while in the winter, especially if you’re traveling to a high altitude, the temperature can drop dramatically.

Snowfall or sunshine, the natural beauty, elegant cities and high quality of life shines through Switzerland, making it a highly desirable destination at whichever time of year you choose to charter a flight.
