Head to one of Brazil’s largest cities for a destination you’ll never forget. Book a charter plan to Rio de Janeiro and get your adventure underway.

Galeão International Airport is the main airport serving this part of the world and is just 20km from the city centre.

Cruise into the city and get your first glimpse of what draws the 5million national and international visitors to Rio de Janeiro each year.

The city is split into roughly four quarters, with the south quarter containing most of the famous landmarks.

For a stay with a touch of luxury, check into the Belmond Copacabana Palace with its enviable beach location.

This hotel has been a staple for visitors for almost 100 years and boasts 147-rooms, including family and penthouse suites that come with butler services.

If you’re looking for a little more privacy Rio de Janeiro has some fabulous private villas available to rent over both the short and long term.

Brazilian gastronomy is a huge draw and Rio de Janeiro has some wonderful restaurants that make your private jet charter well worth it.

Book a table at Oro, one of few restaurants in Latin America with two Michelin stars to its name. Felipe Bronze is the chef with the reputation and at his table you’ll sample the very best in local, seasonal food paired with some beautiful wines and cocktails.

For a step back in time take a seat at Confeitaria Colombo, the elegant, beautifully decorated patisserie. Enjoy a coffee and macaron in sheer beauty but arrive before midday to beat the queues.

The legendary nightlife of Brazil will keep you entertained long into the evening but don’t party too hard there’s much to do in the day.

Of course you’ll want to hop on a cable car to visit the Christ The Redeemer statue casting its arms over the city far below. But nature lovers will adore the Tijuca National Park and you’ll want to check out the marvellous beaches and beautiful sea, including the famous Copacabana stretch.

The wonderful Museum of Tomorrow is well worth a morning of your time as is a private gastronomy tour.

If you want to step off the beaten tourist track, make sure to visit the feira livre da Gloria – a Sunday morning market packed with tropical fruits, fish and wonderful fresh pastries. A must for food lovers.

And when to charter a flight to Rio de Janeiro?

May to October are the coldest months with temperatures into the high teens and early 20s. Between December and March is Rio de Janeiro’s rainy season, which arrives along with hot, muggy temperatures.

A more pleasant time to visit is the in-between months of November and April where temperatures are warm without being at their peak and the rainy season has not yet arrived.

Rio is all fun, all action and an all encompassing experience. The sights, sounds and people will stay with you forever.
