Heavy-lift cargo specialists gear up for Breakbulk Turkey 2012

Next week our Istanbul air cargo charter team is heading to Breakbulk Turkey 2012, a key event in the diary of all those involved in the movement of heavy and outsize equipment and project cargo.

Held at the Divan Istanbul Hotel from November 13-15, the event will bring together delegates from across the globe to discuss the hot topics in the freight market.

Turkey is uniquely situated as an important region to project cargo and traditional breakbulk shippers. Istanbul sits at the crossroads between East and West; Europe, Africa and Asia; connecting it to multiple international trade routes.

Breakbulk Turkey will feature discussions on a wide variety of logistics projects – including from the development of Turkey’s wind energy market and analysis of the Nubucco Pipeline Project – the new gas bridge from Asia to Europe and a flagship project in the Southern Corridor.

Chapman Freeborn has been present in Turkey since 1996 and views it as a country with excellent growth potential. Last year we moved to new offices in Istanbul’s World Trade Center, located within walking distance of Atatürk International Airport.

The charter team is experienced in sourcing heavy lift aircraft types commonly used for outsize cargo airlifts, including IL-76 and AN-124 aircraft (pictured), as well as a variety of Western-built freighters.
