Indianapolis gearing up for this year’s Indy 500

Thousands of IndyCar enthusiasts will soon be making their way to the famous “Bricklane” speedway in Indianapolis, ahead of this year’s Indy 500.

The 101st Indianapolis 500 will see racers push their 2.2 litre, twin turbocharged, direct-injected, v6 supercars to the limit – reaching speeds of up to 235mph around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

With the practise, qualifying, and time trials running between May 11 – 22, it’s already ‘Engines on’ for many of the drivers and dedicated fans – Chapman Freeborn has been busy arranging private jets and landing permits into Eagle Creek Airpark (KEYE, EYE) and Indianapolis Executive Airport (KTYQ, TYQ), for these pre-race events.

The main racing event will this year take place on May 28 – Chapman Freeborn has seen a significant uplift in demand for midsize jets, capable of carrying discerning fans from all corners of the country.

As availability is quickly being snapped up and more and more last-minute charter requests are expected in the lead up to May 28, we urge any fans thinking of private jet charter as their travel solution to make contact with our dedicated US private jet charter department as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
