Purpose of Role

  • Supporting the Legal Dept in the provision of legal support to commercial teams and other group offices as and when required.
  • Supporting initiatives to maintain and update records of negotiated contracts, other legal and company secretary records.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of contract template databases and the development of specific subject matter guidance and training.
  • Working with the Principal Legal Advisor – Group Corporate and the Legal Advisor – Europe on product related initiatives and related contractual documentation.
  • Supporting the Company Secretarial team with corporate administration support concerning the group’s subsidiaries.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting operational teams with legal advice on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, updating and advising on commercial service agreements (both inward and outward), framework agreements, tender and related agreements having a particular focus on air transportation (both cargo and passenger).This will include managing on behalf of brokers the successful resolution of contractual issues arising on a day-to-day basis.
  • Administration of supplier due diligence activities and review of associated documentation (both regulatory and insurance in nature) in line with internal processes and requirements.
  • Provision of legal support in a range of legal matters including company secretarial, data protection, dispute resolution and IT.
  • Participating in corporate project work and providing ad-hoc company/commercial legal advice.
  • Reporting on a regular basis to the Principal Legal Advisor – Group Corporate and the Legal Advisor – Europe with respect to contractual issues arising within day to day operations of the business, including any matters of dispute or potential litigation which may arise.
  • Administer and coordinate the effective implementation and maintenance of the Legal Department’ organisational arrangements.
  • Run the Legal Department’s Yearly agenda and obligations.
  • Prepare, review and peer review the Legal Department’s reporting documentation to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • A BSC and preferably MSC from an internationally recognized University in the field of Compliance, Legal or Finance.
  • Experience up to 3 years in an international company or law firm is a bonus.
  • Independent and self-motivator
  • Excellent Teamwork skills 
  • Fluent (written and spoken) in English and German is necessary.  A additional language is a bonus.
