Sales Executive (On Board Courier – Handcarry)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Sales Executive to join our office in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years’ of experience in sales from the logistics, automotive or airline industries. Experience from the travel and tourism or hospitality industry would also be advantageous, as would previous experience of B2B sales.
The main focus of this role is to identify, target and secure new business opportunities so we are looking for a driven, innovative and proven sales professional who enjoys hunting for new leads and achieving ambitious targets. The role will also involve maintaining strong relationships with existing clients so being a confident communicator with a wide range of audiences is essential to succeed in this position.

Purpose of Role
To proactively identify, target and secure business opportunities for the OBC product.
To build strong, productive relationships with new and existing clients to ensure business objectives are achieved.
To generate and manage a portfolio of clients and actively develop new business through initiative including following up on new leads, client recommendations and networking opportunities.
To maximize business opportunities by offering customers tailored-made solutions to meet with clients’ requests within budgetary and operational restrictions, while making suitable profit for the Company.
To build strong productive relationships with clients to ensure business objectives are achieved.
To proactively identify opportunities to grow the business in new and existing markets to ensure business objectives are met.
Use initiative to identify new potential areas for business development.
Keep up to date with competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
Work towards and in line with all agreed group sales and operations strategies.
Work towards agreed and measurable performance targets.
Work in partnership with the local broker departments by providing them with all relevant information and supporting them throughout the brokering process.
To continually develop knowledge of aviation and commercial awareness.
Client Relationship Management
Liaise with clients to identify requirements and source suitable, competitive aircraft charter solutions.
Market the company services to existing and new prospect customers by telephone or E-mail to actively develop new areas of business.
Visiting potential, new and existing customers with a view to generate further business.
Maintain and develop relationships with both key clients and new business leads to maximise business opportunities and increase client loyalty in an industry where client retention is never guaranteed.
To travel when required in line with business needs.
Due to the global nature of the business, it is highly desirable for the successful candidate to bring additional language skills such as fluent Mandarin, Spanish or French. Fluent written and spoken English is an essential requirement.
All of our On-Board Courier Brokers are office- and desk based and must use the provided office equipment such as computers, telephones, scanner and printer on a daily basis.
Lifting of items weighing up to 30 lbs is a requirement.
