Chapman Freeborn acquires full ownership of Turkish business
Chapman Freeborn Airchartering is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of its joint venture partner’s shares in its Turkish business.
The global aircraft charter specialist now has 100 per cent ownership of Chapman Freeborn Airchartering Ltd Sti, bringing it into line with the rest of the group’s worldwide operations.
The announcement follows a highly successful 2011 for Chapman Freeborn’s Istanbul office – originally established as a joint venture with a local cargo firm in 2006 – and further underlines the company’s long term commitment to the Turkish market.
Tayfun Basak will continue to head the business as country manager for Turkey and the team will welcome new staff to increase its charter operations.
The company is also set to move to new offices in Istanbul’s World Trade Center (pictured right), located within walking distance of Atatürk International Airport.
Peter Joarder, Chapman Freeborn’s chief financial officer, said:
“While we have been successfully doing business in Turkey for several years the acquisition marks a significant commitment to our ongoing growth in the region.
“We have an established team with the aviation expertise and knowledge to further unlock the potential of the Turkish charter market for our clients.”
