Private Jet Charter

This is a Finnish city of many characters. Compact, charming and innovative, it’s surrounded by stunning lakes and forest and no less an equal to the capital city of Helsinki

Your private charter flight touches down in Tampere Airport, the second largest in the country and just 13kms from the city centre.

As your driver whisks you towards your accommodation, you’ll get a sense of Tampere’s industrial past with its multitude of red-brick buildings. Luxury hotels and bespoke stays await with the impressive Radisson Blu or Courtyard Tampere City, offered by the Marriott Hotel chain.

But more characterful hotels are also at your disposal thanks to the likes of hotels and restaurants Mäntän Klubi, set in a distinctive 1920s building and enjoyed by celebrities and politicians alike.

Once you’re refreshed and ready to explore, it’s time to make your way into the heart of the city, which is divided in two by the Tammerkoski River, a channel of rapids spanned by the Hämeensilta bridge famed for the statues adorning its sides.

The city’s cathedral is always worth a visit with its unconventional art and stunning architecture. Quirkier attractions include the Spy Museum and a rooftop tour around Tampere’s old town.

But as the self-proclaimed sauna capital of the world, a day or two spent in the public sauna or spa is a must.

Sports fans will appreciate the city’s dedication to hosting the 2022 IIHF World Championship, and you can often catch a game of ice hockey at the impressive arena. You can attend the major championship through our dedicated ice hockey private jet charter.

When it comes to food, bring your sweet tooth. This is a city that prides itself on its sweet treats, from donuts to fluffy cakes served warm from the many small bakeries you’ll find dotted around the city. But savoury fans too will enjoy a trip to the Market Hall and a chance to savour the local speciality black sausage.

For evening dining, Tampere offers a global cuisine heavily influenced by its European neighbours and you’ll find plenty of speciality restaurants to choose from. Favourites include Restaurant C serving purely Finnish dishes sourced locally and created from scratch, and Hella and Huone with its perfectly served fish and meat dishes with a Finnish twist.

Tampere, located in the south of the country, experiences very cold winters and mild summers. Between May and August, the long days stretch out until well after midnight. Temperatures rarely peak above 25°C but rainfall can be heavier during July and August. May to June and September to October are ideal times to visit.
