Private Jet Charter to Dubrovnik

The UNESCO-listed fortress city of Dubrovnik is one of the jewels of the Adriatic. Its 10th– century ramparts and fortresses have all been restored, and you can take a cable car to the top of Mt Srdj and gaze over the enchanting Adriatic. Game of Thrones fans will already be familiar with Dubrovnik’s stunning architecture as the old town is a frequent filming backdrop. Take a boat trip to Elaftiti, Lokrum or Korcula islands, or venture further afield to Montenegro.

Here are 5 of our favourite Dubrovnik attractions.

Cable car to Mt Srdj

The 4-miute cable car ride to the top of Mt Srdj is unmissable, especially at sunset – and is only a short walk from the Old Town. The views from the top across Dubrovnik Old Town and the neighbouring islands are breathtaking. Stop at the appropriately named Panorama restaurant for excellent food while you savour the views.

Dubrovnik City Walls Walking Tour

Enter by Pile Gate and either take the walk around the ramparts of this incredibly preserved ancient city, or join a guided tour (recommended). You’ll meander across the lime-stone paved streets and learn about the city’s churches, monasteries and palaces. The walk along the wall is around 1.2 miles long with beautiful views of the Adriatic below.

Dubrovnik Cathedral

The original 12th-century church was destroyed in an earthquake in 1667, the current cathedral was rebuilt in a Baroque style and contains rare holy relics. A Roman Catholic cathedral, it contains the skull and limbs of St Blaise, the city’s patron. The Cathedral was also hit during the 1991 Siege of Dubrovnik but has since been repaired.

Dubrovnik Sea Kayaking

A fabulous way to see Dubrovnik, guided kayaking tours are available year-round from the departure point near Pile Gate. Suitable for beginners as well as expert paddlers, your guides will take you on a trip alongside the city walls towards Lokrum. The half or full-day adventure includes lunch and expert tuition before setting off.

Boat Trip to Elaftiti, Lokrum or Korcula Islands

Take one of the many boat tours from the quay at Dubrovnik Old Town and visit one of the area’s beautiful islands. Elaftiti Islands are a small group to the north of Dubrovnik with beaches and a few cafes. Lokrum is ideal for a day trip and covered in sweet-scented pine trees. There’s a botanical garden here as well as the ruins of a monastery. Korcula has its own Old Town and legend has it that Marco Polo was born here.
