Charter a Private Jet Flight to Oman

With multiple airports to choose from, the chances are your private charter flight will touch down at the largest, Muscat International.

You’ll already have glimpsed the country’s pristine coastline, with the Arabian Sea on the southeast and Gulf of Oman to the northeast. Perhaps you even spotted some of the gleaming white buildings found in Muscat city itself, 32kms from the airport.

Historically, this independent nation is famed for its seafaring and trading traditions. If you’re heading straight into Muscat itself, you’ll spot the stunning architecture of the Al Alam Palace, but it’s the natural beauty surrounding this city that really sets it apart.

The Hajar mountains backing Muscat make for a breathtaking view while the Gulf waters provide a sparkling and tranquil juxtaposition.

When it comes to accommodation you’ll find everything you need in a city that, while deeply rooted in the traditions of its past, has a vibrant feel to it with its modern, practical infrastructure.

Check in to the W Muscat with its fabulous restaurant, rooftop bar and huge pool for a taste of luxury, or the mountainside retreat of the Al Bustan Palace with its swim-up rooms and spa offering 24-carat gold facials.

When it comes to attractions, you won’t want to miss the stunning Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, gleaming from the top of its 50-metre-high gold dome right down to its white marble floor. You’ll want to make sure you’re dressed appropriately for visiting this religious building.

If you’re itching to get out of the bustle of the city, an afternoon spent exploring the mountains is on the cards. With established hiking trails that afford you the best views of the region, your adventure can be conducted solo, or with a guide.

On the water charter a private boat to take you dolphin spotting, just off the coast. The Gulf Spinner Dolphins are famous for their acrobatic performances, jumping and turning as they search out their prey.

Moving on from Muscat, and a trip to the second city of Salalah. You can reach this destination by internal private charter flight. Salalah is famous for its frankincense trade but be aware that monsoon season hits between June and August.

Be sure to experience the best in Asian and Mediterranean cuisine at the Al Mina restaurant, and make sure to book a shoreline table.

Alternatively, book into the Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara and grab a table at the ever-popular Mekong Restaurant, located at the resort.

And the best time to visit Oman? The beautiful weather makes it a year-round destination, but many avoid the scorching heat of the summer months between June and August. Booking your trip between October and April is optimal, warm enough to swim and spot turtles at Ras al Jinz.
