A visit to Doha is a whirlwind of beautiful architecture, great food and cultural fascination. Cruise into the airport on your private jet hire and be whisked into the heart of the city by private car (just a 20-minute journey). Your adventure starts now.
When it comes to finding your perfect getaway accommodation, Doha offers some of the best hotels in the region. From the ever-popular Hyatt and Sheraton to boutique luxury at the Mondrian with its stylish rooms and interiors, you’ll find just the right place to call home during your stay.
Once settled in, you’ll be keen to explore the city and what better place to start than a trip to Katara beach. Here you’ll have a chance to relax and soak up the rays or go all-in with some heart-racing water-based adrenaline sports. Whatever you choose, be sure to round off your day with a sundown drink and dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.
But Doha has so much more to offer than its beautiful coastline. Make time to visit Katara Cultural Village. Explore the streets and stop for lunch at Mamig, serving authentic Armenian and Lebanese fare before heading to Souq Waqif. Built on the site of an ancient trading market, you’ll find exquisite handmade artefacts, spices and learn about the pearl trade.
If you’re in town for the FIFA World Cup 2022, you’ll have your own itinerary and with several of the competition’s stadiums located within Doha soaking up the excitement won’t be a problem.
When it comes to evening entertainment, board a dhow boat at Doha Bay and see the city’s iconic skyline twinkling against the night sky.
Dinner is served at Market by Jean-Georges serving contemporary European cuisine. For a more traditional dining experience head to Al Sufra, part of the Kempinski Hotel and winner of the Best Middle Eastern Restaurant 2021 FACT Qatar Dining Awards.
When it comes to getting around in Doha there is a metro system and plenty of public transport. Taxis are plentiful and Uber is also available, but a private driver is easily arranged in advance of your stay for maximum convenience.
Finally, the best time of the year to visit. With its desert climate, Doha enjoys hot summers and mild winters. Average temperatures between January and July start at around 17°C, steadily rising to 37°C and sometimes well into the 40s during the summer months. Naturally, this makes the city attractive as a winter getaway and December to February are considered peak times.
