When it comes to getting around in Doha there is a metro system and plenty of public transport. Taxis are plentiful and Uber is also available, but a private driver is easily arranged in advance of your stay for maximum convenience.

Finally, the best time of the year to visit. With its desert climate, Doha enjoys hot summers and mild winters. Average temperatures between January and July start at around 17°C, steadily rising to 37°C and sometimes well into the 40s during the summer months. Naturally, this makes the city attractive as a winter getaway and December to February are considered peak times.
