Hire a Private Jet Charter to Los Angeles

Los Angeles may be the sun-drenched home of the silver screen, offering up countless famous backdrops and celebrity hangouts for visiting movie pilgrims, but there is far more to the most diverse city in America than its big-bucks business. LA has an incredible range of food, from the smallest street food cart to the glitziest Michelin-starred celebrity-packed restaurant.

Dotted about the city sprawl you can find the beaches of Santa Monica, the glitzy shopping of Beverly Hills, or the hip enclave of Silver Lake. After your private chartered flight lands at LAX, it’s just 15km from the airport to Beverly Hills, a drive of about 30 minutes.

To indulge in some Old Hollywood, you can’t get more classic than the Hotel Bel-Air – 12 acres of low-key, rose-coloured elegance with a swan lake, luxurious spa, and a Wolfgang Puck restaurant. The Mediterranean-influenced hideaway used to host luminaries such as Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. If you’d prefer to stay near the ocean, Shutters on the Beach is a chic, Hamptons-style hideaway in Santa Monica. Its relaxed, but refined, luxury welcomes guests and the hotel boasts surf lessons, delicious food and world class service.

Back in the heart of Beverly Hills is The Peninsula, a slick stay with landscaped gardens, one of the best rooftop pools in the city, and gardens lined with palm and lemon trees. The hotel has a fleet of cars to drop guests off, and a 24k gold facial in its top notch spa.

After you’ve checked in and relaxed after your private jet charter flight, head into town to enjoy a drink at The Spare Room which not only has some of the finest craft cocktails in the city, served in a mezzanine over the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, but also a bowling alley. Republique, a French bistro coupled with a casual Californian vibe, boasts dishes such as lobster mafaldine and beef short rib with kimchi fried rice. The restaurant is housed in a gothic-style building, once home to Charlie Chaplin’s film studio.

For fine dining Mexican-style, try Damian. You can enjoy its popular weekend brunch, or tuck into pork ribs in mole, gorditas and tamales, served family-style. If you’re after some Italian, try Bestia. Ori Menashe, one of LA’s best chefs, rustles up treats such as mussels with spicy nduja and fennel pollen or squid ink pasta with poached lobster and Thai basil in a sleek warehouse space. Film fans will be spoilt for choice with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the famous hand and footprints of stars outside the Chinese Theatre and Universal Studios – as well as the iconic backdrops to hundreds of movies such as the Griffith Observatory and Mulholland Drive.

But there is plenty else to intrigue: La Brea Tar Pits Museum is an active paleontological research site in the heart of the city. There are plenty of world-class art at galleries including Los Angeles County Museum of Art, or you can visit the beach or hike one of the city’s canyons. LA is, of course, known for its fantastic climate, but the very best time to book a charter plane is from March to May or September to November – swerving the smoggy high summer months and the occasional shower in January/February.

Whether you want an action-adventure, a romance or a blockbuster, you can find your own story in Los Angeles.
