Chapman Freeborn Poland supports the next generation of automotive innovators
Chapman Freeborn has a long history of working with the automotive industry – including time-critical cargo charters, on board courier shipments of components, and passenger flights for launch events.
Now our team in Poland is pleased to be supporting the next generation of engineers through our sponsorship of AGH Racing – a group of motoring enthusiasts from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
The AGH Racing team has just returned from the US having successfully competed at the prestigious Formula SAE Michigan – an international race event featuring cars built at top universities around the world.
The engineering design goal behind the Formula SAE Series is for teams to develop and construct a single-seat car for racing with the best overall package of design, construction, performance and cost.
The AGH-built car – nicknamed “Grażyna” – was shipped to the US for the event with the help of Chapman Freeborn’s cargo team.
The competition at Michigan International Speedway proved to be the most competitive in AGH Racing’s six year history, but the team finished ninth overall in the general classification – a very impressive achievement given that 118 cars were entered into this year’s event.
A spokesman for AGH said:
“Our success wouldn’t have been possible without the cooperation with Chapman Freeborn who helped with car transportation and enabled an enjoyable journey back home where AGH Racing Team will now prepare for the next competitions- this time in Europe.”
Congratulations to AGH and all those who took part in the Formula SAE Michigan event.
