Charter a jet to the 2017 United States Open Tennis Championship

Starting August 28th, the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City will once again play host to one of the most prestigious tournaments in tennis. The US Open, which is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year, is set to take place for the 137th time. Anticipation is now building, as the best players from around the world are preparing to face off in an attempt at one of the title spots.

This year is doubly anticipated as a number of experimental rules will be tested. Firstly, shot clocks will be added to contribute to a faster rate of play, as well as limiting players from running over allocated time during medical time outs and warm ups. Secondly, coaching will be allowed from the side of the court – this new rule would mean that the coaching incidents during Caroline Garcia’s match against Johanna Konta at this year’s Wimbledon Championship would have been allowed.

The United States Open Tennis Championships is played on hardcourt and provides tournaments for singles, doubles, mixed doubles, juniors, and wheelchair competitors.

In 2016, Stan Wawrinka won the US Open for the first time. He will be looking to retain his title this year, however this feat has not been achieved since 2008 when Roger Federer got his hands on the trophy for the fifth time in a row. Angelique Kerber will also be defending her title this year, but she is sure to face stiff competition from tournament favourite Garbine Muguruza.
