Chapman Freeborn expands with opening of new Atlanta office

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering, the global aircraft charter specialist, has announced the further expansion of its US operations with the opening of a new office in Atlanta.

Strategically located in the Gateway Center building, near Hartsfield – Jackson International Airport, the new office will serve as the headquarters for the company’s USA entertainment and touring division, as well as supporting the rapidly growing commercial group charter department.

Chapman Freeborn has been involved in providing entertainment industry flights for over three decades, and with the launch of the Atlanta office the company now has a US-based team specializing in music tour logistics – including private jets and helicopters for one-off events, and large aircraft for extended world tours.

The opening of the Atlanta office extends Chapman Freeborn’s global network to 33 offices in 24 countries – including strategic locations in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

In the US, the company already has a headquarters in Fort Lauderdale and further offices located in Houston and Washington DC.

Ryan O’Kuhn, Vice President of Executive Charters, comments:

“Chapman Freeborn has been working with top Fortune 100 companies, film studios, celebrities and world renowned music bands since 1973. It seemed like a natural progression to have a physical presence in one of the fastest growing US cities and a commercial center for the entertainment industry.”

“One of our key strengths at Chapman Freeborn is our extraordinary personnel who are dedicated to finding the best charter solutions for clients. We look forward to bringing our excellence in customer service and professionalism to the local market.”

Fletcher Holt, Vice President Commercial Charters USA, added:

“Atlanta has been a major U.S. hub for air passenger transportation and cargo distribution for decades. Many of the world’s leading companies are headquartered or represented here, and plentiful non-stop air transportation is a huge draw. ATL continues to be the world’s busiest airport with over 90 million passengers annually. “

“In addition to air transportation, Atlanta is also home to communications, movie and recording studios. CNN is based here as well as Coca-Cola and with our renewed presence; Chapman Freeborn will be closer to our clients in Atlanta and easily accessible to other entertainment capitals of the U.S. such as Nashville, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.”

Warren Jones, Aviation Route Development Manager for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport said

“We are pleased that Chapman Freeborn has decided to locate offices in Atlanta to become part of its vibrant and growing economy.

“The addition of Chapman Freeborn to Atlanta will offer the airport air cargo community a wide range of chartering products and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”

Chapman Freeborn’s new Atlanta office is in the Gateway Center, part of the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) campus. The free, convenient ATL SkyTrain tramway service from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport stops at the GICC, only steps from the office and less than five minutes away from ATL airport by tram.
