Private Jet Charter

Greece

This jewel in the Ionian Sea offers tranquillity, fun and of course the very best in Greek hospitality. Your private jet charter flight will arrive at Corfu Airport, less than five miles from Corfu Town. Stepping out under a blue Mediterranean sky, you’ll already have a good sense of what you’re in for.

Take a short drive into the city centre and straight to your luxury villa overlooking the sea, or to one of the high-end hotels at your disposal. Choose from Angelo del’Arte Estate, where every suite comes with its own patio, or the four-star Divani Corfu Palace with its sea views.

Other options include the five-star Domes Miramare, an adult-only resort just a few miles south of Corfu Town, complete with a private beach.

If beach life is your passion, you won’t be disappointed with the miles of coastline and plenty of private beaches to choose from. Spend an afternoon in one of the six bays of Paleokastritsa. With some of the best beaches on the island, you can easily pass an afternoon swimming, snorkelling and eating at the nearby beachside taverns. Surrounded by olive and Cyprus trees, this part of Corfu offers the very best of the island’s pristine coastline.

Off the beach and onto firmer ground, Corfu has a lot to offer in terms of visitor attractions. As one of the first islands in the region to attract tourists, it’s ready to showcase the very best of its food and wine. Take part in a private tasting tour sampling traditional dishes such as sofrito, the national dish pastitsada and the island’s very own pancakes, Gialetia.

Wine too is a source of much pride and many varieties date back to the time of Homer and the Odyssey.

There are more than 250 monasteries and churches on the islands and the Vlacherna Monastery is well worth a visit. As one of the most photographed attractions on the island, it has appeared in films and is often used as a symbol of Corfu. This tiny building is connected to the mainland by a small bridge and the monastery itself was built in the 17th century.

Where you choose to dine will depend on where you stay but freshly caught fish served at a beachside restaurant is always a great option. If you’re staying in Corfu town itself, then the Venetian Well is a solid choice. Local fish, meat and vegetables are given a mouth-watering contemporary twist and all within an atmospheric setting.

For more casual dining, that’s equally as tasty, head to Salto Wine Bar with tempting salads and vegetarian dishes, alongside meat and seafood. The wine list of mainly Greek labels is a treat for the palate.
While Corfu enjoys a distinctive Mediterranean climate, the hot summer months can be a little stifling peaking at 33 C in August. Late April to June is warm, but you may experience one or two rainy days. Winters are warm and rainy, with temperatures rarely dropping below 10 C.

Off-peak season will afford you fewer crowds and better rates but summer is when the beaches come to life and Corfu is at its very best.
