The world’s largest aircraft charter company Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has reported high demand for flights out of Egypt as the country remains in a state of unrest.

With political demonstrations continuing into a second week hundreds of foreign nationals have been flown from Cairo to airports including London Gatwick, Istanbul, Dubai, and Barcelona on chartered B757, B737 and ATR 72 aircraft, as well as executive jets called in from the Middle East.

It is anticipated that requests for the company’s evacuation flight expertise could increase further in the coming days as a growing number of corporations look to pull their employees out of the country as a precautionary measure.

Chapman Freeborn’s group passenger director Darren Banham said:

“We have organised a large number of flights for clients to help move their people out of Egypt as quickly and safely as possible. As the situation continues to develop we are ready to deal with the expected increase in demand.”

Chapman Freeborn has 32 offices in 22 countries worldwide and arranges more than 6,000 aircraft charters a year.
