Chapman Freeborn is excited to introduce the newest member of its commercial passenger team, Neil Smith.
Neil joined the team in March 2023 and brings an extensive background in aviation, spanning over 30 years, to his new role. His previous experience comprises positions at Air2000, Monarch Airlines, XL Airways and ACC Aviation, as well as several years running his own air charter company.
Reflecting on his aviation journey so far, Neil explains, “With over 30 years’ aviation experience in a number of different roles, I have a vast amount of expertise ranging from accounts, to airline operations, to commercial sales. Having my own charter business for three years was a huge challenge and gave me a wealth of knowledge.”
As Senior Commercial Passenger Broker, Neil will promote the Chapman Freeborn brand to UK and European operators, with a focus on bringing new corporate and sports clients to the business. “I have worked exclusively with many sporting organisations and clubs, and large corporate businesses and private clients over the years,” Neil says, “and I will use this experience and knowledge to put Chapman Freeborn on the map and make us the number one choice for existing and new clients.”
Neil is excited to build the UK team, cementing their reputation as market leaders in commercial and private charters. He adds, “I look forward to working with everyone; utilising our sister companies in the Avia Solutions Group family to maximise our opportunities.”
In his spare time Neil enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in the world of hockey. He trains the junior and women’s teams at Crawley Hockey Club and is also a qualified EHA (English Hockey Association) hockey umpire.
Chapman Freeborn extends a warm welcome to Neil and wishes him every success in his new role.
