Chapman Freeborn has a proven track record of running medevac air ambulance services, providing safe medical emergency flights where and when you really need them. No one wants to consider what might happen if they become sick or injured while travelling, but emergencies happen and illness or injury can occur anywhere, anytime.
Medical evacuation, often called medevac, is a fast, safe way of transporting someone who is unwell or injured, cannot access a commercial flight and needs medical care on board. We provide private air ambulance charter flights, medical charter flights and international medevac flights – a seamless, stress-free service you can rely on.
Whatever the extent of medical support the patient requires, from walking cases to full ICU arrangements, our team is on hand to ensure a tailored medical emergency flight solution to meet their needs.
Due to our long-standing relationships with specialist operators, Chapman Freeborn can quickly access private air ambulances, staffed by a highly experienced team and fully equipped with medical supplies and advanced life support systems.
We’re not just experts in aviation, we understand the urgency of medevac situations. Our private medical flights offer calm, professional and time-sensitive solutions.

Thank you for your interest in our air ambulance and Medevac services. To assist you further, we have curated a collection of frequently asked questions specifically related to ambulance flights.
On every ambulance flight, there is a medical staff tailored to the needs and findings of the patient, usually consisting of an intensive care nurse and a doctor.
As a rule, we require a medical report or an overview and summary of the patient’s medical condition and current values in advance. In addition, the doctor currently treating the patient should provide a “fit to fly” certificate, which confirms that repatriation in an ambulance aircraft is recommended. It would also be an advantage if we had information about the treating hospital and the destination hospital.
Transport can be arranged at your request and on your own responsibility and we will organise ramp access etc. in cooperation with the airline. However, we do offer a bed-to-bed service, where we can organise the journey in conjunction with the airline, as well as pick you up at your destination and accompany you to the hospital.
Air ambulance companies focus on organising flights as quickly as possible in order to be with your patient as soon as possible in an emergency. Depending on any authorisations, the flight can take off within a very short time. There are generally no further restrictions for ambulance flights, as these flights are not dependent on “slots” and can take off and land at any time of the day or night (depending on airport opening times) and always have priority.
