Mykonos

Hire a Private Jet Charter to Mykonos

At just 85.5 square kilometres, this Greek island is one of the most stunning in the region. Book a charter plane to the local airport, just four kilometres from the town itself. High-speed ferries will also shuttle you across from mainland Athens.

Once you arrive on Mykonos, nicknamed the Island of the Winds, you can’t help but find yourself relaxing into the Greek lifestyle.

While the island is relatively small, it relies heavily on tourism and as such offers some great quality accommodation. The stunning beach-fronted Saint John luxury hotel is one such hot spot, offering a five-star experience in their stunning rooms, suites and villas.

For a more boutique experience, the Bohème is an altogether smaller offering with suites for every taste. The hotel’s famous Bilo bar overlooks the Aegean Sea and provides a great mix of fresh, locally inspired food and dazzling cocktails.

Fuelled with a great breakfast, it’s time to discover what the island has to offer. Top of the list, of course, are the fantastic beaches. Most beach hotels will occupy their own space, renting out sun loungers to tourists, but if you’re looking for a little more privacy, charter a yacht for the day and moor up at one of the smaller nearby islands.

When you’re done with the sun and worked up a thirst the island offers some stunning wine tours and private tasting sessions. The perfect climate means the wine is plentiful and pairs beautifully with local cheeses and meats.

If the outdoors is your thing, you’ll find plenty of hiking and walking to be done on this and the neighbouring islands. You’ll be charmed by the seven white windmills that dot the horizon, built by the Venetians as far back as the 1500s. To discover more about Greek culture, take a visit to one of the country’s most treasured archaeological sites: Delos.

Just a short boat ride from the coast of Mykonos, this is the mythological birthplace of twin gods Apollo and Artemis. You’ll find temples, fountains and market squares dating back to the seventh century and stunning Hellenistic mosaics.

Back on the island, you’re ready for dinner. Head to Baos Fine Dining in Mykonos town for the ultimate in farm to table freshness. Executive chef Panagiotis Tsoukatos brings a locally inspired menu with a thoroughly modern twist. The superb wine list sets the food off perfectly.

For seafood with a view, book your spot at Phos in Platys Gialos. Enjoy the sun setting over Psarou beach as you eat the delicious, freshly caught catch of the day.

After dinner head to the larger beach resorts for bars and clubs that stay open long into the night or back to your hotel for a nightcap.

Beautiful beaches, fine dining and mythological wonders, what’s not to love about this small but perfectly formed island.
