Take a Private Jet Hire to Malaga

Sun-drenched Andalusia and its capital Malaga are firm year-round favourites for thousands of visitors. Breathe in the uniquely Spanish atmosphere as you step down off your private charter flight and feel the sun on your skin.

Home to just over half a million people, this is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Founded in 770BC it was originally called Malaka and fell to Roman, Visigoth, Muslim and Christian occupation over its long history. Malaga’s mild winters and scorching summers make it attractive throughout the year, but June to September is when the tourist season really peaks.

After touching down, you’re only 8km from Malaga central. A short ride by taxi, your hire car or chauffeur service.

Whether you choose to stay centrally or just out from the bustle of city life, there’s accommodation to suit every taste. From high-end hotels to cosy farmhouses or luxury villas. Gran Hotel Miramar is one of the more well-known options and a stone’s throw from many of the city’s famous landmarks. With two outdoor pools, sun terrace and children’s club it’s a popular choice for families.

For a more private getaway, head to the hills for some stunning private villas and houses. While most come with pools, many also offer a maid option for ultimate relaxation.

Now to dining. Spain is a haven for foodies and Malaga is no exception. From the ever-present tapas bars to cafes serving regional favourite Gazpachuelo Malagueno, there’s no shortage of eating options.

When it comes to drinking, Malaga is justifiably proud of its 3,000-year-old winemaking tradition. Offering wines made from the Muscatel and Pedro Jimenez grape varieties, there’s no shortage of wine tasting and pairing menus across the city. Sample the sweet, fortified versions or the more relaxed drops and you’ll be in wine heaven.

But before dinner, there’s plenty of time to see the city. You might consider throwing away the guidebook and simply strolling through the city’s old town. You’ll come across pleasant squares and narrow streets packed with boutique shops, bars and cafes.

If you are looking for something to see, Barcelona’s cathedral is a dazzling sight inside and out. The botanic garden is also a great way to spend a relaxed afternoon. Ancient Moorish architecture is dotted everywhere throughout the city but one place to really see it up close is the Castillo de Gibralfaro, built in the 10th century as a fortress, though its foundations date back to Phoenician times.

Getting around Malaga is straightforward enough. There’s an extensive network of buses, Uber cars or private car hire available with or without a chauffeur. Take your time and get to know a city of many layers.

Book your private jet charter and get to know this sun soaked city.
