Rent a Private Jet Charter to The Bahamas

As your private charter flight to The Bahamas soars over the sparkling blue of the North Atlantic Ocean, you’ll quickly realise what a treat you’re in for.

The country’s major airport, open to commercial and private jet hire flights, is found on Providence Island and welcomes international arrivals from across the world.

Once you’re safely on the tarmac, you might want to spend at least a few nights on the island visiting the country’s capital city Nassau, before hopping back on a plane or taking a boat trip to any of the other surrounding islands.

Nassau is the perfect mix of stunning beaches, culture and city life. Take a visit to the island’s famous rum distillery, or spend time flamingo spotting as the country’s national bird makes its appearance at the Ardastra Gardens.

Staying in this part of paradise is an easy pick with luxury hotels including the Eco-certified Rosewood Baha Mar spa resort, complete with two swimming pools or the exclusive Ocean Club, a Four Seasons hotel close to the beach and found on the connecting Paradise Island.

Once you’ve roamed Providence Island and experienced some of the finest Bahamian seafood, it’s time to hop to your next destination: Bimini, just 50 miles from Florida’s east coast.

A favourite haunt of Ernest Hemingway, if you’re a fan of underwater adventures this is the perfect spot for swimming with dolphins, sharks and for discovering the mysterious Lost City Of Atlantis. Made up of North and South islands, both are reachable by private charter flight or by ferry.

Much like Nassau, Bimini has more than its fair share of luxury resorts and peaceful getaways.

Perhaps next on your itinerary is the Andros, the largest island in the archipelago. It’s actually made up of three main islands, five national parks and seemingly endless mangrove estuaries. Perfect as a slightly less busy island to explore.

Here you can stay in the rustic, beachfront cabins of Small Hope Bay Lodge, right on the sand. Divers and nature enthusiast will be in heaven, while those looking for some serious relaxation can while away the hours on the beach.

For those looking for a little more privacy, there are some private villas available for rent, including Big Bamboo – a villa that comes with its own private pool and jacuzzi.

If you’re wondering what stands out in Bahaman cuisine, it has to be the fish and seafood. In particular, cracked Conch, Conch salad and the wonderful Bahamian fish stew served with a rich tomato-based sauce and the catch of the day, usually grouper or snapper.

When it comes to the best time of year to visit The Bahamas, try mid-December to April. You’ll still get plenty of summer skies but avoid the more tourist heavy visiting times.

Hurricane season hits around June and carries on until November but hurricanes are fairly rare still.

The weather, the water, the food – this Caribbean getaway is the picture perfect destination you can’t miss.
