Private Jet Charter to the Cannes Yacht Festival 2017

Cannes Yacht Festival celebrates its 40th birthday this year. Europe’s largest floating boat show takes place in the Bay of Cannes, south of France from the 12-17 September. The Festival attracts leading industry players, buyers, celebrities and the aspirational all converge on this idyllic yacht haven to socialise – and do great business.

The Vieux Port and Pierre Canto harbours are where all the action is, both just a short walk from the Old Town and the Palais des Festivals. Here, visitors will have the chance to walk around 600 boats – displayed on water and on land – and get expert advice from manufacturers. Potential buyers can take trips out to sea to try before they part with their cash.

Vieux Port – superyacht extension

One of the French Riviera’s oldest ports, Vieux Port hosts yachts and boats from the world’s most prestigious shipyards. The specially built superyacht extension is the place to see the largest boats in the festival – both sailing yachts and motorboats from 22 to 55 metres. The Jetty holds smaller vessels from 10 to 45 metres. La Pantiero is home to boats of 10 to 34 metres, while the Multi-hull area will be showcasing Europe’s largest selection of sailing and motor catamarans and trimarans.

Port Pierre Canto – secondhand yacht brokerages

If you’re looking for a pre-loved yacht, then head to Port Pierre Canto. Around 50 beautiful 22m to 50m yachts will be for sale via charter and broker companies who will best guide you on your acquisition, sale or rent.

Luxury Gallery at the Palais des Festivals

Yachting and luxury are the hallmark of the Cannes Yachting Festival. The Luxury Gallery is a new showcase for major luxury crafts and lifestyle brands. Located by the main entrance on the Croisette side, the gallery is the backdrop for luxury watchmaking, fashion and accessories; art, jewellery from brands such as Zanetti, Lalique, Breitling, Goemai and many more.

Maserati luxury car brand sponsors the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017

Visit the Maserati Lounge in the heart of the festival to check out the latest models, including the new Maserati Levante. All VIP and Riviera cardholders receive complimentary transfer in Levantes to and from Nice Airport.

Cannes Yachting Festival Concours d’Elégance boat parade

Don’t miss the day boat parade on 14 September. Starting at 5pm, there will be a parade of boats in front of the Cannes Yachting Festival beach. This event, based on the Concours d’Elégance competitions traditionally held for cars, is exclusively for modern and vintage day boats that are less than 12 metres in length. The competition has two categories: boats built before 1980 and boats built post-1980. All entries are judged on specific criteria, including the rarity of the model the elegance of the crew, the quality of restoration and the boat’s history.

Cannes – what to see and do

Cannes’s appetite for glamour and glitz is legendary and has attracted celebrities and influencers since the Sixties. From its world-class luxury hotels (the Grand Hyatt Cannes Hotel Martinez, and the Hotel Barrière Le Majestic to name just two), its designer and luxury brand flagships and its proximity to Monaco, casinos and superlative restaurants, ensure Cannes attracts the wealthiest of visitors. Wander around the Marché Brocante market and enjoy lunch or dinner at the iconic Astoux et Brun on rue Félix Faure. Explore the old town (Le Suquet) with its eclectic bistros and boutiques, and visit the Musée de la Castre, housed in a medieval tower.
