Private jets take centre stage at LABACE 2012

We’re now less than 24 hours away from the start of the Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE) in São Paulo (Aug 15-17).

As we blogged recently, the event organiser (ABAG – Brazilian Association of General Aviation) expects this year’s event to generate business of around US $700 million. In addition to the exhibition stands, a record 71 aircraft are expected to be on display as at São Paulo Congonhas Airport.

The US-manufacturer Gulfstream Aerospace has announced that it will display three jets at the show – a Gulfstream G150, a G450 and an ultra-long-range G550 jet.

Elsewhere, Hawker Beechcraft Corporation has said it will display six of its aircraft – including a Hawker 4000 super midsize business jet.

Bombardier will showcase the Global 6000 aircraft with the Vision Flight Deck cockpit for the very first time in this marketplace.

Not to be outdone, Embraer’s ultra-large Lineage 1000 will also make its debut at the show. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the entry-level Phenom 100, light Phenom 300 and large Legacy 650 business jet with its enhanced interior.

Another highlight will be appearance of Airbus’ ACJ318 – the first time this aircraft type has been displayed in Brazil.

Alongside these top private jet manufacturers, Chapman Freeborn’s Brazil team will be demonstrating its global air charter expertise so if you’re at the event we look forward to meeting you (find us at booth #3018).

LABACE 2012 promises to be a great show so we’ll post all the latest news over the next couple of days!
