Scheduled air cargo services launched to help connect Africa

In addition to award-winning ad hoc cargo charters, Chapman Freeborn’s team in Africa has launched a number of scheduled air cargo services to further unlock the continent’s potential for our international client base.

We’re introducing a new scheduled service from Johannesburg (JNB) to Lubumbashi (FBM) and Kinshasa (FIH) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Utilising a DC8-73F aircraft with a capacity of 40 tons, the dedicated schedule will depart every Thursday from JNB, commencing on June 20 2013.

This is just the latest scheduled flight service set up by our cargo team. Our office in Entebbe (EBB), Uganda also operates a Fokker F27 aircraft (maximum uplift of 5.8 tons) which is available for work including humanitarian relief cargo and transiting equipment involved in mining, telecoms, and the energy industry, as well as other industry sectors in the region.

Johannesburg is a major air cargo centre and can accommodate wide body freighters from North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia – making it an ideal hub for transhipment traffic.
