The Chapman Freeborn team in South Africa recently took part in a charity event called Pie Day, during which everyone brought in baked goods to sell to raise money for a local charity.
The team chose the Matthew 25 Project, a truly worthy cause that looks to better the lives of disadvantaged children in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa. The charity helps children who have had a hard start to their lives, ensuring their futures are bright by providing them with support and opportunities.
As well as selling their baked goods, the team also enjoyed spending time with the charity, getting to see first-hand the great work they do in the community and for the children in their care. It was a humbling experience for all, as they got to meet some of the staff who work tirelessly to provide a better future for the children they care for. The team also donated foodstuffs, clothing items and toys.
