The Benelux Team recently organised a series of cargo flights from Ostend (OST) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Houston Airport (IAH).
An automotive manufacturer in the USA almost ran out of their product. To avoid production stopping, the team in Ostend organised several flights to transport the urgently needed spare parts to be used for fuel tanks.
The first two flights took place on 26th and 27th December. There were another 4 flights performed within 3 days – on 6th, 7th and 8th January.
The last four flights were operated in the middle of the night and early morning. Wannes Elias, Chapman Freeborn Cargo Charter Manager Benelux/France, was on site to supervise the loading of the aircraft. Late at night or early in the morning, our team is always available for their clients.
The client was on site at the airport for one of the flights and enjoyed learning about the loading of a 747-F aircraft, and taking some pictures from the cockpit.
