The island of Ibiza is well known for its lively nightlife and hedonism culture, but it also offers visitors quiet coves and beaches, ancient architecture, pine-clad forests, great snorkelling and scuba diving as well as idyllic villages and superb cuisine. Here are 5 reasons to book your private jet charter to Ibiza this spring…

Ibiza Old Town (Dalt Vila)

The White Isle’s celebrated ‘old town’ is located on the southeast coast, attracting a cosmopolitan crowd that appreciates the superb shopping, world-class restaurants, bars, cafes and historic buildings. Meander along the hilly, cobbled streets of this UNESCO Heritage Site with its overhanging Gothic Catalan buildings and enjoy the magnificent views across the bay from the castle ramparts. An open-air cinema is here – Cinema Paradiso – as well as the archaeological museum Museo Puig des Molins.

Café Del Mar Sunset

This iconic sunset bar at the end of San Antonio Bay started the chilled vibe, created an eponymous records label and has become almost a rite of passage for newbies and Ibizans alike. Grab a cocktail and take in the spectacular sunset views across the rocks and seafront before dinner.

Es Vedra Rock at Cala d’Hort

Some say this imposing uninhabited limestone rock island, located just off gorgeous Cala d’Hort beach, is one of the most magnetic places on the planet. At 400m high, Es Vedra is an official nature reserve and was a stand-in for Bali Hi in the 1958 musical South Pacific.

Ibiza Beaches

For quiet seclusion head to Cala Xuclar on the northwest of the island. Snorkelling in this horseshoe cove is excellent and very peaceful. For beach bar relaxation, Las Salinas is the go-to hangout, while Cala Salada north of San Antonio has a beautiful rocky backdrop. Head to Portinatx in the north for a more secluded atmosphere, likewise Cala Llonga, is only a short drive from Santa Eularlia.

Ibiza Summer Markets

From hippy chic to serious bling, Ibiza markets have it all. On Wednesdays head to Punta Arabi Hippy Market, located at Es Canar on the island’s east coast. Thursdays are market mayhem at Cala Llonga near Santa Eulalia, while San Rafael in the centre of the island has beautiful ceramics and handicrafts. Sant Jordi flea market is held in the town’s HIpodromo and located in the south of Ibiza.
